SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Location: AZ/CA
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $60/hr all inclusive on CTC


Project Description:

Assist with the next generation enterprise backup system implementations. Specifically, help complete the required engineering tasks for certification, and provide best known methods for architecture and implementation. The end result will allow Intel to meet strategic consolidation project goals and help with meeting required compliances.

Daily Responsibilities:
Testing, validating NBU 6.5.x within the enterprise Testing, validating NBU 6.5.x encryption within the enterprise Providing assistance with backup architecture and implementation of NBU 6.5.x Creation of installation, support and possibly training documentation (skill dependent) VBR Reporting: Testing, migration and possible report creation

Necessary Skills (Must Have):
VERITAS NBU 5.1 and 6.5.x including components related to Exchange, SQL, Oracle/RMAN, SharePoint, NOM, PBX, and NDMP NBU 6.5 Encryption - architecture, application and hardware
LTO-4 and Scalar i2000 (or other Scalar ATLs) Quantum Px720

Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):
EMC EDL or VTL
Knowledge of VERITAS Backup Reporter (VBR) Networking (SAN specifically)
